Given the opportunity to build on his grandfather’s land, Michael and his wife Lou – both designers – set out to create a home that captured the beauty and calm of its rural setting. With a clear vision for a U-shaped design centred around a glass-walled courtyard and long hallways framing a different view at the end of every wing, they needed a builder who could help them bring their grand plan to life within budget. Designed by Dion Keech Architects and built by Hateley Construct, with interiors by Michael and Lou’s company – Pinchy & Co, Pinchy Ranch is a masterful balance of bold design, natural light and considered simplicity.
