Grant Hateley grew up on a farming property in the Strathbogie region, where life was built around hard work, ingenuity and an understanding of how things fit together. From an early age he was drawn to construction – fascinated by how structures were formed and how spaces could shape the way people live.
After beginning as a carpenter and learning his trade under some of the region’s most respected builders, Grant became a registered builder at just 25. That early grounding in practical skill, rural resilience and attention to detail still defines his approach today.
Hateley Construct was founded to carry that ethos forward – creating architectural lifestyle properties across Northern Victoria and the Goulburn Valley, defined by craft, collaboration and care.

Rebeka is the steady force behind Hateley’s business operations. As Director of Operations & Finance, she helps shape the systems, processes and financial foundations that keep the business running with clarity and care. With more than 13 years’ experience in finance and business management within the construction industry, including work across multi-million-dollar projects, Rebeka understands the structure and attention to detail needed behind the scenes to support exceptional builds. While Grant leads the detail on site, Rebeka strengthens the business around each project, helping ensure the same level of professionalism, craftsmanship and trust carries through every part of the Hateley experience.
